I will never be considered at "Runner". I have been trying to be more versatile in my exercise routine lately, so I have been throwing in more running then previously. I don't know about you but I have two major problems when I run (aside from the fast that I look like an uncoordinated moron!). One- my instep always blisters Two- my thighs get raw (sorry if that was TMI) I have found two products that have made running soooo much more bearable for me. So with no further ado... I introduce my running buddies!!

Moleskin is definitely nothing new. But I always thought it was more for hikers. But it has been a live safer for my insteps. No more unsightly and tender blisters!! I did have to experiment a bit to figure out the right size and placement of the patch...but now it is smooth sailing!

Body Glide is heaven sent. No matter how much I work out my thighs are always going to touch, it is just how I am built. But at least with the body glide my raw thunder thighs are a thing of the past! You swipe this on like a deodorant stick before heading out for your run and it last at least the 3 miles that I need it to.

So it is nice to know that I am not the only one out there with blistered feet and raw inner thighs, if I were I really don't think they would be selling this stuff! So yeah for all of us non-athletic built folk who are getting out there and actually needing these things. I guess that means at least our butt isn't glued to the couch! :)

"There are as many reasons for running as there are days in the year, years in my life. But mostly I run because I am an animal and a child, an artist and a saint. So, too, are you. Find your own play, your own self-renewing compulsion, and you will become the person you are meant to be." - George Sheehan

"If God invented marathons to keep people from doing anything more stupid, the triathlon must have taken Him completely by surprise." - PZ Pearce

I know exactly what you are talking about! I have blisters on my instep as well. Mostly just one foot though. Blister on top of blister...it is weird. They don't really hurt most of the time though, so I don't worry about it.

I don't run in shorts anymore because it irritates me (I have capri-like things). But the body glide sounds like it would work well for under my arms where my arm rubs against my body...it rubs and hurts really bad if I'm not wearing the right type of shirt. So I can never wear a tank top when I run and even a couple of my t-shirts have bothered me. It hurts like mad! Where did you buy the body glide?

Now if you could just solve my other problem...unless I wear the right sports bra, my heart rate monitor rubs against my boobs and rubs them raw. I have scars from it! I have one sports bra in particular that works great, but I can't wash that one sports bra every day! So if you could just come up with a solution for that....
